This example is starting a 3 phase 20kW motor direct on line (DOL) with relatively long (250m of 240mm² Al cable). It is the same as the previous example except the transformer is smaller (100kVA).

Results

The voltage drop at the point of common coupling and the transformer LV terminals exceeds the allowable limits. Either convince the customer to use a soft starter or get a contribution to install a transformer closer.
