This example is starting a small single phase motor on a 3 phase transfomer. This motor is started with a non-standard type starter where the maximum start current is known. To use this method depress the button next to the PU option and type in the multiple of full load current that is drawn on starting ie 3.5PU.
![]() Results This option is OK as the voltage drop at the point of common coupling is 2.53%, well within the limits on starting.
